Speaking TestLevel B1 Instructions Part 1: The examiner asks the candidate about himself/herself, his/her home, work or studies or other familiar topic. Part 2: The examiner asks the candidate about one topic for three or four minutes. The candidate has one minute to think about what to say and makes some notes if necessary. Part 3: The examiner and the candidate discuss a few questions related to the topic in Part 2. The examiner is free to use any of the questions suggested or use their own as long as they are related to the topic in Part 2. TEST 01 Describe a city, town or village you know well. You should say: Where it is What it looks like What kind of people live there And say if you think it is a good place to live or not, and why. TEST 02 Describe a friend who has played an important part in your life. You should mention: How you met this person How long you have known them The kinds of thing you do or did with them And explain why he or she has been important in your life. TEST 03 Talk about a foreign language apart from English that you’re interested in learning. You should say: Where it is the main language. How the language differs from your language and from English. How you first became interested in that language. And say if you think that’d be an easy language to learn for you or not, and why? TEST 12 Talk about the importance of technology to people’s life. You should say: How technology makes life in the past and at the present different. The advantages of the Internet. The disadvantages of the Internet. And express your own ideas about the influences of technology to people's life. TEST 13 Talk about a teacher who has greatly influenced you in your education.
