1.Introduction

Vietnam's Lunar New Year has been

around for a very long time. According

to history, Vietnamese people have had

the custom of celebrating Tet since the

establishment of Van Lang country.In Vietnam, the Lunar New Year is known as Tet or

Tet Nguyen Đan. The first three days of the first Lunar

month every year are three days of Tet.

2.Time & Location

Today, in some localities, festivals are also held in

January. This creates a joyful atmosphere throughout

the country on the occasion of the New Year.

1.Introduction
Vietnam's Lunar New Year has been 
around for a very long time. According 
to history, Vietnamese people have had 
the custom of celebrating Tet since the 
establishment of Van Lang country.
In Vietnam, the Lunar New Year is known as Tet or 
Tet Nguyen Đan. The first three days of the first Lunar 
month every year are three days of Tet. 
2.Time & Location
Today, in some localities, festivals are also held in 
January. This creates a joyful atmosphere throughout 
the country on the occasion of the New Year.

Not only is Tet a celebration of the arrival of
spring and an occasion to pay respects to one's
ancestors, it is also a great opportunity for family
to come together. Family members will return to
their homeland for a reunion and to savour the
flavours of the holiday.
Here are the few must-dos to celebrate a perfect
Vietnamese Lunar New Year

4. Financial Plan
Tet is a special and meaningful occasion to 
all Vietnamese. It is the time for people 
reunite with their family after a long time 
not seeing each other and take a rest after a 
hard-working year. 
According to Tuoi Tre newspaper: (quoting 
Consumer Pulse research). 
55%: VND5.5 million and VND15 million 
20%: > 15 million VND.
20% : 2-5 million VND.
The rest is less than two million. 
Thus, depending on different circumstances, people 
spend on Tet differently. However, everyone wants to 
have a happy Tet.
5.Conclusion
Nowadays, there are many 
modern activities occurring 
during Tet, but anyway, 
traditional activities still hold 
important role. Therefore, they 
need to be maintained and 
developed.
